Annual plan, decent experience

I signed up for the Annual Job Seeker Plan a few months ago. The ordering process was simple, just a few clicks and I was in. I didn't need to contact support, so can't speak to that. The job listings are definitely geared towards moms, which is what I wanted. I applied to several Virtual Assistant and Content Writer jobs. The site navigation is clean, and the job descriptions are usually pretty detailed. It took me about two weeks to get my first interview after applying through them. Overall, a solid platform for remote work, though the number of listings can vary by week.

Helpful resume review

Used their Resume Review Service. Got feedback in a few days. They made some good suggestions. My resume looks much better now. Worth the cost.

Found good jobs quickly

I tried the Monthly Job Seeker Plan last month just to see what was out there. Honestly, I found a few really good leads way faster than I thought I would. The site was easy to use, no weird glitches or anything. It felt pretty straightforward to apply to things. Happy with it.

Does HireMyMom offer a free trial for the job seeker membership? Or do you have to just pay upfront to see what's available?

J June G. 1 month ago
Nah, no free trial that I've ever seen for the job seeker side. You gotta pay for the membership to get access to the jobs.

Unfortunately, you have to buy the membership. But sometimes they have those first-month discounts which is kinda like a trial, but you're still paying a bit.

how does HireMyMom compare to something like FlexJobs or The Mom Project? I'm trying to figure out which one is best for finding part-time remote work.

N Nina Marsh 1 month ago
HireMyMom is definitely more focused on, well, moms, obviously. The roles feel a bit more tailored for that work-life balance thing. FlexJobs has more variety but less of that specific vibe.

I've used both. HireMyMom's jobs feel a bit more curated, often for smaller businesses. The Mom Project is good too, sometimes has bigger companies. Depends if you want a super niche community feel or a wider net.

Anyone know if the jobs on here are actually legit? I've seen some other sites that feel a bit scammy, just want to make sure this is the real deal.

R Rosa E. 4 weeks ago
From my experience, totally legit. They seem to vet the businesses pretty well. I got a social media manager gig through them that was solid.

They're boutique, so it's not like a huge free-for-all. I've only seen genuine postings for actual small businesses. No weird MLM stuff or anything.

Thinking about getting the annual plan for job seeking, but are there ever any discounts for it? Like is it worth waiting for a sale or something?

O Omar 1 month ago
Yeah, they definitely do annual plan discounts sometimes. I got mine like 15% off during a Black Friday thing last year. They also do quarterly sales.

I think I saw a first-month discount once, but for the annual one, you might have to wait for a seasonal thing like January or November. Worth checking around those times.

So, if I get a job seeker membership and then find a job pretty fast, can I cancel it easily? Or am I stuck for the whole period?

J Julia 1 month ago
You can cancel your subscription, yeah. It's pretty straightforward, I think you just go into your account settings. It won't refund you for the time you haven't used if you paid for a longer period though, afaik.

I cancelled my monthly one after a couple of months, no issues. It just didn't renew the next cycle.
